The FirstClass client is the graphical front-end software required to connect to FirstClass servers. It is designed for use with FirstClass Business or Education Edition version 8.0 and has all the trusted communication and collaboration functions of previous FirstClass client products.

There are two ways of installing the FirstClass client package:

Option 1
1  Download the attached fcc-8.090-1-mdk10.0.i586.rpm file into a temporary folder.
2  Double-click the file and follow the on screen instructions to complete installation of the client.
3  Download the attached fcc-8.090-1-mdk10.0.i586.rpm file into a temporary folder.
4  Double-click the file and follow the on screen instructions to complete installation of the desktop integration software.

Option 2
Use the command line version of the installer from a terminal window.

$su
Password: <password>
#rpm --upgrade fcc-8.090-1-mdk10.0.i586.rpm
or

$sudo rpm --upgrade fcc-8.090-1-mdk10.0.i586.rpm
Password: <password>
